The cast of Pawn Stars, the hit show on the History Channel, got a letter and a note on Reddit, and decided to make a most compassionate move last week. The note on Reddit alerted the men to a letter that would be coming for them from one of their biggest fans-a boy named Little J. Little J is autistic, his mother explained via Reddit, and Pawn Stars is his favorite show. His mother, known on Reddit as MrsLeslie, encouraged Little J to write a letter to the cast of Pawn Stars. Little J wrote the letter, and offered to sell them his Gameboy for $30. His mother also wrote a cover letter explaining Little J’s enthusiasm for the show and asking if they could please respond.
Pawn Stars Response
Instead of purchasing the Gameboy, Rick Harrison sent it back to Little J with a letter and the $30. In the letter, he explains that he is “donating” the Gameboy back to Little J for being such a loyal fan. He also thanks Little J for watching the show, and talks about Chumlee liking Gameboys, most likely in response to something said in Little J’s letter. When asked about the letter, Rick Harrison confirmed that he indeed wrote it in response to Little J. The Pawn Stars are sure to have made a fond memory for life for Little J. Not only did the Pawn Stars take the time to respond to his heartfelt love for the show, they did not ignore his wish to do business with them. They purchased the item as they would from any customer, then graciously donated it back to the boy. These guys are the best!
